Our Secret to Staying Consistent on YouTube (We Film 5 Videos in ONE Day)

Being in business is hard. It’s full on. It’s busy. This is especially true when you’re winning clients and working hard to deliver behind the scenes. For all those reasons, the balance of creating content and delivering what you’ve promised to clients is a hard one to maintain. Personally, I’ve found producing content daily impossible. It’s a different energy, and it takes a while to get things set up. That’s why we don’t do it! We create a lot of our content in key filming days, where we get everything set up, plan our content, and film 4/5 videos in one day!

It’s effective.

It’s productive.

And if you do it well, it means you can get back to work!

In this video, come behind the scenes as we film a whopping five videos and five additional Reels in one day!

We talk about:

  • How to systemise your content creation to stay in front of your audience
  • How to approach ‘batch filming’ so your content is effective
  • Tools and set ups to consider, along with what kit to consider

What a Filming Day Actually Looks Like

Instead of waking up and worrying about what to post that day, we block out one day a month just for filming. On that day, we plan to create multiple videos or reels in one go.

Now, Chris preps everything ahead, including thumbnails, titles, opening lines, and then gives me a couple of prompts for the content. This prep means I can just sit down and talk about the things I know to be true around that theme. But, before I had a full time video editor in the business, I did all this myself. I would plan a filming day in my diary, make a set at home, and crack on. Sometimes, when filming big course content, I would book an AirB&B and take myself off to a new environment to really focus and remove the daily distractions of being at home.

Top tips New Video Creators

  • Yes, your iPhone will do. Don’t wait for perfect cameras or lighting.

  • Microphones first. People can watch average footage but they won’t listen to average audio

  • Batch content. One filming day can give you weeks of material.

  • Make a set! Stage a bookshelf, move furniture around, light a candle. Absolutely make a beautiful ‘set’ to elevate the video

  • Prep help. Plan your concepts, thumbnails, and talking points ahead of time. And, ideally – set up the set up and camera gear the night before!
