Lisa Bean speaker - Be the Leader event

Your Unique Message, and the Confidence to Own it. Be the Leader with Lisa Bean.

Business coach, speaker and entrepreneur Lisa Bean returns as the guest speaker at Anisa Lewis’ uplifting Be the Leader event, a lively morning exploring the truth of what we want to be known for in our next professional chapters.

As Lisa explains: “I often find people posting what they’re ‘supposed to post’, staying quiet in meetings, and playing ‘small’ to stay safe.”

“In the world of AI, more and more people are turning to trusted leaders to hear their opinion, to follow their lead, to follow their map. To lead our teams, to lead our sector, to lead our niche, we must invest the time developing and honing these core messages, and begin to move through the ‘visibility risk’ that shows up when we use our voices.

Taking place from 9.30am to 12.30pm, Lisa will kick off the morning with core practical training on how to find and hone your core message, how to share it publicly, and how to get comfortable with the sense of exposure and fear of judgement that can come with that. We will then move into a brilliant panel Q&A, and finish with group discuss and questions.

What do you want to be known for?

Lisa, who has previously spoken at the event series, will explore the growing importance of developing a clear point of view, being willing to share more than information alone, and how it feels to share our ideas online.

“We have access to more information than ever before,” said Lisa. “People don’t need another person to summarise what is already known about a subject. What is valuable is your unique wisdom, pulled from multiple data points, it’s how you tailor that information to individuals at scale, and it’s how you present a map of how we can get there too!”

Lisa will be covering:

  • How to build a reputation that opens doors. Whether you’re growing a business, progressing your career or becoming more influential within an organisation, discover how your message, content and positioning shape what people know, remember and recommend you for.
  • Precisely how to move beyond repeating information people can find anywhere and start sharing the wisdom, insight and point of view that makes people seek you out.How to take a broad area of expertise and develop a clearer, stronger point of view that creates curiosity, starts conversations and makes people want to hear more from you.
  • How to become more visible and manage the ‘visibility risk’ that comes with exposure online. Explore what holds you back from expressing your bolder opinions, claiming your expertise or putting your name to an idea.
  • How finding your message can change the way you experience your work. There can be real energy in finally talking about the ideas that matter to you. Give yourself permission to explore your thinking, follow your curiosity and develop a body of work and ideas that evolves with you.
  • “Thought leadership isn’t the end goal,” says Lisa, “it can be how we build a stronger reputation, attract better opportunities, and reach more of the right people to create growth without simply trying to do more of everything.

“Whether you’re trying to grow a company, progress your career, become known within your industry or work out what your next professional chapter looks like, getting clearer about what you stand for – and becoming more confident in communicating it – can change the opportunities available to you.”

This won’t be a morning of sitting quietly and listening. The women already booked come from a fascinating mix of industries and professional backgrounds, and the people in the room will be an important part of the event itself.

There will be time to think, talk, challenge your own assumptions, hear how other women are approaching similar decisions and make meaningful new connections.

The aim is to leave not only with new ideas, but with greater clarity about what comes next, practical actions you can take and, hopefully, a renewed sense of energy for the work ahead.

Be the Leader will also feature a panel of business owners and leaders and opportunities for discussion and connection throughout the morning. The event is designed not simply for business owners, but for anyone who wants to have greater impact through their career, business or work.
